How do I compare and choose health coverage?
HealthCare.gov
HealthCare.gov explains the Summary of Benefits and Coverage, a standardized document for comparing health plans, including coverage offered through work. Use it alongside your employer’s plan documents to compare costs, covered services, and limitations. Ask your benefits team or insurer whether your doctors, prescriptions, therapies, and equipment are covered.

Job Accommodation Network (JAN)
The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) offers an employee guide to identifying, requesting, and negotiating workplace accommodations, including what to do when a request is denied. JAN also provides free, confidential guidance on accommodation options and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Benefits counseling can help eligible employees receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) understand how earnings may affect their benefits and healthcare coverage. Availability and eligibility depend on the program and your circumstances.

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
The EEOC handles employment discrimination charges and explains how to begin the filing process. Georgia employees can contact the Atlanta District Office. Employees elsewhere in the Southeast can find the office serving their location.
