Disability Resource Advisors Celebrates One Year of Power Moves
A monthly virtual learning series cultivating disability leadership through practical knowledge for career advancement, personal growth, and community impact

ATLANTA — Disability Resource Advisors (DRA) is celebrating the first anniversary of Power Moves, its monthly virtual learning series that cultivates disability leadership by equipping people with disabilities with practical knowledge for career advancement, personal growth, and community impact.
DRA officially launched Power Moves in August 2025, building on educational sessions the organization had offered previously. Over its first year, the series has connected participants with professionals and subject-matter experts who provided valuable insight into standing out in a competitive job market, building financial power, and creating social impact through advocacy and service. Featured session leaders have included Forrest Tuff, founder and CEO of the award-winning multimedia and branding agency One Vision Productions, who led a session on personal branding, and Sharon Ragin, executive director of Soaring Eagles Training and Development Corporation, who led a session on the basics of personal taxes.
“Success is determined by what you know and who you know. Knowledge is power, and people with disabilities must be empowered to achieve their personal and professional goals,” said Derrick Tuff, founder and CEO of Disability Resource Advisors. “Power Moves equips people with practical skills and valuable connections they can use to make an impact in their own lives and throughout their communities.”
Power Moves is offered through InPower, DRA’s leadership and workforce development program. More than 60 individuals have participated in InPower sessions, which focus on building the skills, confidence, and mindset people with disabilities need to move beyond entry-level success and pursue lives shaped by purpose, leadership, and contribution.
The value of the series is reflected in participant feedback. “I learned a lot about investing from attending the Power Moves session,” said Briana T., an InPower participant. “It really was great information presented in a short time frame.”
As Power Moves enters its second year, DRA plans to continue building a pipeline of disabled leaders whom businesses and communities can depend on to move meaningful work forward.
